Udenjordisk abduktion
2022Felted wool, iron, manuscripts, music stands, tinVarious dimensionsFrom the solo exhibition Udenjordisk abduktion at SpLab

Udenjordisk abduktion was a solo exhibition in the exhibition space SpLab in 2022. The exhibition consisted of nine handknitted and -felted scenes, a needle made of tin and the manuscript Zwuuuush in 6 copies, read out at the vernissage of the exhibition.
The knitted wallhangings depict parts of hypnopompic hallucinations about alien encounters, that the artist had on / off in the year leading up to the exhibition. The scenes show a humanlike figure as well as more unidentifiable beings, and some shows more abstract patterns. The wallhangings are made entirely of wool, giving them a fuzzy, dreamlike appearance. The smallest of the pieces (showing a star or firework-like scene) measures 30 x 27 cm. The largest (the human-figure lying down with a needle piercing the head and a kind of lightning going all the way down the piece) measuring 176 x 137 cm.
